Job Description

SailPoint is seeking a talented, self-motivated Japanese-speaking individual to join our team as a Contracts Manager. In this role, you will be instrumental in building a world-class identity security SaaS company in the APJ region. You will support sales contracting, deal processes, and legal systems, gaining experience in negotiating and closing deals with enterprise customers. The ideal candidate is an experienced dealmaker, a natural communicator and collaborator, organized, curious, and driven to complete tasks accurately and promptly.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct support to the sales team on all contracting matters.
  2. Draft and negotiate contracts, including SaaS terms, software licenses, NDAs, data processing addenda, partner agreements, and statements of work, ensuring compliance with company policies and deadlines.
  3. Lead contract negotiations with customers and collaborate with internal teams to close deals.
  4. Offer strategic insight on negotiation tactics, deal shaping, and industry standards.
  5. Respond to internal sales queries and coordinate with legal, deal desk, accounting, and sales engineering teams.
  6. Manage contract documentation, issue delivery notices, and file signed agreements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Fluency in Japanese and English.
  • Degree in law, business, or equivalent certified experience.
  • Experience working with customers in Japan and the APJ region.
  • Over 3 years in a similar SaaS or commercial role, with experience drafting and negotiating SaaS/cloud agreements, licensing, NDAs, DPAs, professional services, and reseller agreements.
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition, data privacy laws, and industry-standard data processing terms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with contracting tools such as Salesforce and Conga CLM, and contract management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure, remotely work independently, and coordinate across teams.
