A leading corporate client seeks a Contracts Counsel to support its Indirect Procurement team. This temporary role offers remote flexibility or can be based in Philadelphia. Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with various teams. Ideal candidates will have a Juris Doctor, strong negotiation skills, and at least 5 years of contract management experience.
Trustpoint One is pleased to partner with a leading corporate client in its search for a Contracts Counsel to support the organization’s Indirect Procurement team. This temporary position offers remote flexibility or can sit in the Philadelphia office.
Contracts Counsel Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate a diverse array of contracts pertaining to indirect procurement, including but not limited to vendor agreements, service contracts, and licensing agreements.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements throughout the lifecycle of contracts.
- Collaborate with procurement, legal, and business teams to mitigate risks and resolve contractual issues.
- Maintain and manage the contract database, ensuring all contracts are current and accessible.
- Provide training and support to procurement staff on best practices for contract management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to optimize contract management efficiency.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, preferably within an indirect procurement environment.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and compliance requirements.
- Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficient in contract management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a corporate legal department or procurement function is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Agiloft.
All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time.
