Job summary

Job description

Major Responsibilities

  1. Under general direction with latitude for independent judgment, review proposed procurement actions for compliance with relevant laws and policies, including the Procurement Policy Board rules and Local Law 1 of 2013, within the Capital Projects Division.
  2. Solicit, review, and prepare award and registration documents for construction and related services under supervision from the Agency Chief Contracting Officer, Deputy ACCO, and the Director of Contracts.
  3. Draft and process pre-solicitation reports, bids or proposals, award recommendations, accounting documents, and registration submissions using PASSPort, FMS, Parks’ proprietary database, and Microsoft Office.
  4. Review proposals and vendor background information, assisting management in evaluating bid responsiveness, vendor responsibility, and awards according to PPB rules and policies.
  5. Conduct bid openings and assist with bid and proposal evaluations, including contract amendments.
  6. Collaborate with vendors, oversight agencies, and technical staff to conduct procurements, including solicitation, award, and contract registration.
  7. Coordinate procurements with budget and project management teams, track procurement statuses, and prepare reports. Lead cross-departmental and cross-agency teams to meet project objectives and timelines.
  8. Serve as liaison with MOCS, the NYC Comptroller’s Office, and other agencies to facilitate procurement and registration of capital contracts.
  9. Provide procurement status updates to senior management and support team members’ procurement activities as needed.

Community Coordinator - 56058

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of relevant community work or activities; or
  2. High school diploma or equivalent and six years of relevant community work; or
  3. Equivalent education/experience, with at least one year of experience as described in #1.

Preferred Skills

  1. Familiarity with government procurement and capital design processes.
  2. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, writing, and presentation skills.
  3. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  5. Experience with FMS, PASSPort, and procurement processes.
  6. Comfort interfacing with senior officials and management.

Additional Information
