NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Program Administration Contracts and Admissions Liaison

Do you want a job where you can use your background in the medical field and have fun while making a positive difference in people’s lives? As Contracts and Admissions Liaison, you will manage the process of screening and accepting a prospective resident to the facility while working directly with the marketing representative and the patient’s family, as well as the payor source for admission to the facility.

  • Participate in contracting and networking with commercial insurances, worker’s compensation, and VA plans
  • Handle single case letters of agreement for non-contracted payors and private pay patients; negotiate per diem, draft agreement, and ensure execution
  • Manage referrals and facilitate determination of potential resident’s financial viability as needed
  • Identify all funding possibilities including primary, secondary, and ancillary insurances, as well as any areas of concern
  • Verify prospective patients’ health insurance coverage, complete all funding verification protocols, and inform Clinical Liaison and Director of Nursing of benefit profile
  • Contact insurance case managers to obtain authorization for inpatient care
  • Relay clinical information about the patient to justify medical necessity Support Admissions Coordinators with difficult insurance issues
  • Act as liaison between facility, billing, and admissions; act as the point person when any have questions
  • Assist in finding resolutions to issues with claims and reimbursement by working with the payors involved
  • Provide support to the VP of Payor Relations
  • Maintain and manage facility credentialing with various insurance payors
  • Maintain Medicare and Medi-Cal waiver provider validation as well as a record of insurance cards and photo IDs collected for all patients
  • Manage Payor and Referral Source Surveys; create quarterly reports on facility performance based on survey results as part of the Performance Improvement Program Committee
  • Train and supervise new employees within department as needed

Qualifications

  • High School diploma; Associate degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in insurance or healthcare industry
  • A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent proficiency in the areas of responsibility may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements
  • Experience and general knowledge regarding HMO/PPO insurance as it relates to the medical field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of database management and MS Office
  • Detail-oriented team player with ability to multitask
  • Demonstrated skills in communication, organization, problem-solving, and data entry
