Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Contracts Professional Level 2 or Principal Level 3 to join its Melbourne, FL or Palmdale, CA offices. The role supports the Strike Division, following a 9/80 schedule and handling contract administration and customer interfaces.

Candidates must have a degree and FAR/DFAR knowledge, ability to obtain Secret/SAP clearance, and travel up to 10%. The position offers diverse projects, learning opportunities, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of professional work experience related to contracts, proposals, business management or other similar industry experience, or Master’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements.
  • Knowledge of multiple contract types including Firm Fixed Price, Time & Materials or Cost Plus Fixed Fee.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active US Government Secret or higher clearance within a reasonable timeframe to support business operations and needs.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.
  • Supports interface with customer for contractual issues among team members.
  • Monitors contract and associated program to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood.
  • Participates in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Works under direct and general supervision to develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.
  • Ensures fulfillment of contract requirements, supports contract changes and maintains historical information within company policy and procedure.
  • Reviews terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommends risk mitigation strategies.
  • Prepares and manages written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters.
  • Enters and maintains contract data into Contract Management System or Enterprise Accounting System.
  • Ensures timely delivery of all contractual deliverables and submission of invoices.

Contracts Professional Level 2 / Level 3

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Contracts Professional Level 2 (Contracts Administrator) or a Contracts Professional Level 3 (Principal Contracts Administrator) to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting our Strike Division. This position may be located on‑site at the Melbourne, FL or Palmdale, CA offices. The role may be hired at a Level 2 or a Principal Level 3 depending upon candidate qualifications and will follow our 9/80 schedule.

Primary Job Duties

Salary Ranges

Florida Level 2: $65,500 - $98,300
Florida Level 3: $81,400 - $122,000
California Level 2: $75,800 - $113,800
California Level 3: $94,200 - $141,200

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $113,800.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $141,200.00
