Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; additional years may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in government contracts required.
  • Negotiation skills for complex terms and conditions.
  • Experience with CPFF, FFP, T&M contracts and FAR/DFARS.
  • Strong time management and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, negotiate, and manage government contracts per company policies and regulations.
  • Draft and review contract documents; advise management on rights and obligations.
  • Oversee cradle-to-grave contract administration for CPFF, FFP, and T&M.
  • Negotiate Teaming and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
  • Interact with programs, contracts, finance, and customers to resolve issues and minimize risk.
  • Develop or review prime contract flow-down documents to ensure compliance.
  • Support audits and respond to data requests from internal/external customers.
  • Evaluate solicitations for compliance with FAR/DFARS.

Job description

Essential Job Functions:

Conducts the preparation, negotiation, and management of government contracts in accordance with company policies, federal procurement regulations and statutes, and customer requirements. Position duties also include drafting and reviewing contractual documents as appropriate. Advises management of company and third party contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.

Provide the oversight and monitoring of contracts, assist in key negotiations, resolve performance issues, identify risks and associated mitigations, support development of major proposals, ensure compliance with company policies, procedures as well as government and contract requirements.

Provide cradle-to-grave contract administration support for Government contracts of various contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M).

Negotiate Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements.

The candidate will frequently interact - written, oral, and face-to-face - with other contracts and procurement staff, functional peers, management and external and internal customers.

Regularly interact with programs, contracts, project control, finance, business development and with customers as required.

Develop or review prime contract flow down documents to ensure compliance with prime contract requirements and to minimize company liability.

Support internal/external audit activities as well as data request from internal / external customers.

Evaluates solicitations for proposal requirements as well as pertinent sections of the FAR, DFARS and other applicable Government laws and regulations.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience and other degrees may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Working knowledge within government contracts arena.

Working knowledge of production contracts is desired.

Negotiation skills, including experience negotiating complex terms and conditions.

Must have experience with all contract types (CPIF, CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.) and an understanding of FAR/DFARS.

Time management, organizational, and analytical skills, including solving problems and mitigating risks.

Candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team of contract professionals supporting proposal preparation and a portfolio of contracts.

Candidate must be able to multi-task and prioritize work activities in a fast paced environment and effectively and professionally communicate at all levels within the organization.

Must have the interpersonal skills to deal effectively with management and staff regarding Contracts issues with high degrees of complexity and work issues to resolution.

Proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint and SharePoint site document management.

Currently hold OR ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret Level Security Clearance.

Pay Range and Benefits:

There are a variety of factors that can influence salary at DCS Corp, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

Salary Range: $73,160 - $124,580
