Zusammenfassung

Chenega Corporation is seeking an entry-level Contracts Administrator I to support pre-award and post-award activities for federal, state, and commercial programs within the Chenega Security SSBU.

Under supervision, you will assist with proposal activities, contract administration, compliance monitoring, subcontract support, and file management throughout the lifecycle. The role is hybrid with two in-office days per week in Chantilly, VA.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in contract administration or government contracting preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.

Summary

The Contracts Administrator I provides pre-award and post-award contract administration support for federal, state, and commercial programs within the Chenega Security Strategic Business Unit (SSBU). Working under the guidance of the Contracts Manager or Contracts Team Lead, this position assists with proposal activities, contract administration, compliance monitoring, subcontract support, and contract file management throughout the contract lifecycle. This is an entry-level role that offers the opportunity to develop knowledge of government contracting, contract administration, and regulatory compliance.

This position is hybrid, two days a week in our Chantilly, VA office

Responsibilities
  • Pre-Award
  • Provide contracts administration support to Federal, State, and commercial proposal submissions.
  • Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Draft Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements for opportunities.
  • Review Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotes (RFQs), and other types of solicitations for pertinent Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and client requirements that may impact operations or project implementation, due dates, Representations & Certifications (Section K), and submission requirements. Coordinate creation of compliance items at the direction of the Contracts Manager.
  • Manage filing and organization of solicitation documents in SharePoint.
  • Coordinates support of Business Services Team through the Support Center.
  • Drafts and administers any subcontractor or partner RFPs or RFQs.
  • Post-Award
  • Manages assigned contracts and subcontracts for program managers and corporate staff.
  • Supports contract kick off and closeout, where needed
  • Reviews and responds to contract modifications, secures internal review and signatures under the guidance of the Contracts Manager and/or the Contracts Team Lead
  • Requests pricing support for Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs) and Requests for Equitable Pricing Adjustments (REPAs). Drafts and submits requests under the guidance of the Contracts Manager and/or the Contracts Team Lead
  • Communicates on behalf of the organization with the client/customer under the guidance of the Contracts Manager and/or the Contracts Team Lead
  • Maintains accurate and complete contract files and database entries for Awards.
  • Works with the Contracts Manager to advise project teams and SSBU staff on solutions to implementation challenges and answer questions regarding Federal regulations and contract requirements.
  • Types and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, and business plans.
  • Operational Support
  • Work across teams to provide solutions and recommendations, including but not limited to Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Senior Management.
  • Provide coverage for colleagues’ portfolios during an absence or PTO.
  • Support Contracts Manager with special projects as assigned.
  • Handles confidential and non-routine information.
  • Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in business related field. Experience may be substituted for formal education.
  • 0-2 years of experience in the project/contract administration field; background working within a government contractor preferred.
  • Substitution of additional relevant education and/or experience for stated qualifications may be considered.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or government law.
  • Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to provide varied technical and administrative expertise; use initiative and sound judgment within established guidelines; organize, coordinate, and prioritize a variety of assignments with varying deadlines; work effectively under pressure with frequent interruptions; handle difficult, confidential and sensitive assignments; organize and maintain a variety of confidential records, reports and files.
