Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Contracts Administrator, Advisor to join its Defense Missions and Health Solutions Sector in the United States. You will manage a portfolio of government contracts, ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR, support project managers, and lead negotiations and contract close-out while building strong customer relationships across teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Business or related field with 8+ years' experience (12+ years can substitute for the degree) and US citizenship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field plus a minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
  • 12+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience working proposal responses to RFPs, participating in RFP and proposal review meetings, contract pre-award meetings, conducting negotiations, and drafting/finalization of contract.
  • Experience managing Government contracts and Subcontracts with other Government Contractors under FAR, DFAR, and other agency supplements.
  • Experience preparing, maintaining, retrieving, and communicating records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate and Contract Management requirements
  • Experience performing closeout of contracts, finalizing outstanding contract issues, issuing final modifications & invoices, and coordinating completion of contractor performance evaluations
  • Experience interfacing with all levels of the project team to include representing and interfacing with all levels of internal and/or external management and the corporate organization leadership.
  • Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of contract of various contract types, complexities, and sizes; monitor invoices/budgets against contracts and mitigate cost overruns.
  • Ensure project compliance with government contracting requirements.
  • Support Project Managers by providing guidance on contractual requirements.
  • Manage the start-up and close-out process for all assigned projects.
  • Assist with preparing cost proposals and narratives for projects.
  • Develop strong customer relationships, interacting frequently, and working as a team leader to resolve issues and streamline processes.
  • Analyze, prepare and negotiate contractual agreements such as Teaming, Non-Disclosure, Memorandum of Understandings/Memorandum of Agreements and other binding agreements as the business opportunity presents.
  • Support to internal program teams, to include highly complex problem solving, and providing creative solutions.
  • Accomplish Department and Division objectives by promoting sound business principles.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills necessary for working in a team environment. Familiarity with U.S. government and Intel Community agencies is required.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
  • Proficient working within a Contract Lifecycle Management tool such as GovWin or UNISOM
  • Self-starter and independent worker with good organizational and computer skills.
  • Deltek experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of contract types and terms
  • Understand and implement policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
