Redwire Space Missions seeks a Contractor - Test Engineering Technician Level IV at our Littleton, CO facility for up to 6 months, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a Redwire employee. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Familiar with aerospace assembly and inspection tools: torque wrenches, load cells, feeler gauges, calipers, multimeters.
  • Experience writing technical work instructions for Environmental Testing.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems.
  • Excellent manual dexterity; able to handle small parts (#0-80).
  • Experience using electronics equipment (DMMs, power supplies, DAQs).

Summary

Redwire Space Missions has an opportunity for aContractor - Test Engineering Technician Level IV at our facility in Littleton, CO for up to 6 months with the possibility of extension or conversion to a Redwire employee. Through continuous innovation and operational excellence our team is using their engineering talents to design and deploy, Power Distribution, Embedded Monitoring and Control, Power Conversion, lighting, and Camera based solutions. These cutting-edge capabilities are helping to revolutionize spaceflight.

Responsibilities
  • Perform environmental testing of aerospace mechanisms using established procedures. Tests include static load, thermal vacuum, benchtop operation, separation, shock, and vibration
  • Operate spaceflight hardware and test fixtures using data acquisition system and established procedures
  • Attach and remove components on spaceflight hardware
  • Inspect mechanical and electrical components after test completion
  • Perform maintenance on test fixtures
  • Idea generation of potential process improvements
  • Assist with non-conformance investigations
Ideal Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 6 or more years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with common aerospace assembly and inspection tools. e.g. torque wrenches, load cells, feeler gauges, calipers, multimeters
  • Experience assisting with writing technical work instructions related to Environmental Testing
  • Understanding and experience with quality management systems such as AS9100
  • Excellent manual dexterity, ability to handle small parts such as fasteners as small as #0-80
  • Experience using electronics equipment (e.g. DMMs, power supplies, DAQs, etc.)
Desired Skills
  • Strong technical capability and mechanical inclination, with ability to follow and execute procedures
  • Experience working in an Aerospace cleanroom environment - preferred
  • Understanding of advanced electronic circuitry
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as autonomously
  • Ability to provide intuitive and timely solutions for immediate prototype production
  • Effective communication abilities, attention to detail and self-motivated
  • Possess strong problem solving and communication abilities
  • High standard of quality workmanship
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills

Pay Rate

$35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
