Lyndon Institute is seeking a part‑time Speech Language Pathologist Independent Contractor for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year.
The parties agree that the Consultant, subject to faithful job performance, shall receive compensation at an agreed‑upon hourly rate. The Consultant shall provide contracted service from mid‑August through mid‑June, as needed. Consultant will submit invoices on a bi‑weekly basis and will be paid following the schedule of the Accounts Payable department of the School.
The parties hereby further agree that L.I. shall contract with the Consultant for the school year as a Speech Language Pathologist. The Consultant shall perform the following duties on the regular scheduled days:
The Consultant agrees to provide a certificate of liability insurance coverage with limits of $1 million per incident, $3 million aggregate.
The Consultant will be given prior notice of school closings in the same manner as employees; otherwise the Consultant will be compensated the equivalent of one half of a day worked.
L.I. will provide a 1099 annually to the Consultant for fees paid.
Continuation of this contract is contingent upon the Consultant maintaining a valid license, a copy of which will be submitted to L.I. and kept on file. The Consultant must also submit to, and pass background checks as established in the personnel policies of the School.
This contract may be modified based on actual student enrollment numbers and needs. Updates to the contract will be communicated to the consultant in the August/September timeframe each year.
