Job summary

Schillings is seeking a Contractor Salesperson for our Mokena, IL location. This full-time role offers a competitive compensation package with benefits and no night or Sunday work; Saturday availability is preferred.

You will manage builder accounts, prospect for new customers, and drive sales while maintaining relationships with contractors. Responsibilities include blue-print reading, processing quotes, bids, and estimates, and ensuring accurate orders.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in construction management, home improvement, or building materials preferred.
• Ability to learn Point of Sale software.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage Builder accounts and prospect for new customers.
• Drive sales while maintaining relationships with customers.
• Read blueprints and provide excellent customer service.
• Process quotes, bids, and estimates with accuracy.
• Handle orders and streamline processes for efficiency.
• Minimize deliveries to job sites and reduce returns.
• Maintain paperwork and perform tasks assigned by management.

Schillings is hiring an outgoing, assertive, and organized Contractor Salesperson for our Mokena, IL location. We offer competitive pay along with a full package of benefits. This position will be full-time, with no nights or Sundays. Saturday availability is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage Builder accounts
• Prospecting for new customers
• Drive sales, while maintaining relationships
• Blue-print reading
• Provide excellent customer service to all contractors/customers, with a can-do attitude
• Processing orders with attention to detail
• Process quotes, bids, and estimates
• Identify efficiencies– seek ways to stream line processes
• Ability to minimize deliveries to job sites
• Minimize returns
• Constant communication and follow up
• File paperwork
• Selling all products Schillings has to offer
• Any other tasks requested by management or the Schilling family

Education/Required Skills
