Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)

This position serves as Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) responsible for implementing all customer security requirements related to contracts in the Sensitive Compartmented Facility. This includes daily security management oversight for multiple programs, covering physical security, communications security, information security, operational security, and security education. The role may also involve responsibilities for all COMSEC activities. Candidates must have current experience in the U.S. Government, DoD, Intelligence, or contractor community in security management.

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct annual self-inspections using customer-specific Integrated Security Assessment Checklists and other agency checklists.
  2. Develop and maintain security documentation such as OPSEC plans, SOPs, Protection plans, DD254, etc.
  3. Create and implement security plans or CONOPS outlining regulations and procedures.
  4. Engage with Division Security Managers, executives, government agencies, and program offices.
  5. Ensure compliance of Access Control & Intrusion Detection systems, manage emergency plans, and promote security awareness.
  6. Review security classification guides and program protection plans.
  7. Conduct security briefings and assist with program indoctrinations and debriefings.
  8. Manage program access requests and classified destruction programs.
  9. Coordinate with security staff and ISSOs/ISSMs to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  10. Maintain security documentation and update policies as needed.
  11. Manage SCIFs per ICD-705 standards and government requirements.
  12. Ensure compliance with federal security regulations, directives, and manuals for safeguarding national security information.
  13. Coordinate with government agencies for rulings and deviations.
  14. Observe all applicable laws and regulations during business operations.
  15. Perform other duties supporting program activities.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Facility, Program, Physical security, CSSO experience with a Bachelor's Degree OR 8+ years with an Associate's Degree or High School diploma.
  • Thorough understanding of NISPOM and ICD requirements.
  • Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to develop solutions for complex issues.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and prioritization skills.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification meeting DoD Directive 8570 standards.
  • Related Bachelor's Degree.
  • Recent experience with security management policies, handling classified information, and familiarity with NISPOM, ICDs, and DCIDs.
  • Reliable, dependable, and trustworthy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Range

The salary range is influenced by various factors including location, experience, skills, and education. Our benefits include healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, education, and time off. Learn more here.

Proposed salary range: $71,500 - $150,200
