Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)

Position Overview

This position serves as Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) responsible for implementing all customer-related security requirements for contracts in the Sensitive Compartmented Facility. It includes daily security management oversight for multiple programs, with overall responsibility for physical security, communications security, information security, operational security, and security education. The role may also involve all COMSEC activities. Candidates must have current experience in the U.S. Government, DoD, Intelligence, or contractor community in security management.

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Conduct Annual Self-Inspection using customer-specific Integrated Security Assessment Checklist and other Agency-specific Checklists.
  2. Develop and maintain OPSEC, SOP, Protection plans, DD254, and other security documentation.
  3. Prepare and implement security plans or CONOPS outlining regulations and security procedures.
  4. Interact with Division Security Manager, External/Internal Executives, Government Agencies, and Program Offices.
  5. Ensure compliance of Access Control & Intrusion Detection systems (ACS/IDS), Emergency Action Plans, and conduct self-inspections; develop and assist in security awareness programs.
  6. Review and interpret Security Classification Guides and Program Protection Plans.
  7. Conduct program security briefings.
  8. Assist in preparing and administering program indoctrinations and debriefings.
  9. Handle program access requests as directed by management.
  10. Manage classified destruction programs.
  11. Coordinate with security staff and ISSOs/ISSMs to ensure policy compliance.
  12. Maintain security documentation and update policies as needed.
  13. Manage the SCIF in accordance with ICD-705 and customer requirements.
  14. Ensure compliance with federal security regulations for safeguarding National Security Information.
  15. Coordinate with government agencies for rulings and interpretations.
  16. Observe all applicable laws and regulations in business conduct.
  17. Perform other duties to support program activities.
Required Qualifications
  1. 4+ years of Facility, Program, Physical, CSSO experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 8+ years with an Associate's Degree or High School Diploma.
  2. Experience with NISPOM and ICDs.
  3. Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
  4. Proven problem-solving and planning skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments.
  6. Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Professional certification per DoD Directive 8570.
  2. Related Bachelor’s Degree.
  3. Recent security management experience with policies and procedures, familiarity with handling classified info, NISPOM, ICDs, and DCIDs.
  4. Reliable, dependable, and trustworthy.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.

Pay Range

Salary varies based on factors like location, experience, and qualifications. The proposed range is $71,500 - $150,200. We offer comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, retirement, education, and time off. Learn more here.
