OverviewThe Contractor Program Security Officer will assist in overseeing and managing physical and operational security measures to safeguard personnel, facilities, and classified information within a highly sensitive intelligence community environment. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, agency, and local security regulations, identifying and mitigating threats, and maintaining a secure operational site. This role is hybrid onsite in Herndon, VA.
What will you do?- Site Security Management:
- Support personnel security, physical security, document control, and classified networks.
- Assist with building and maintaining classified secured areas.
- Conduct regular security assessments and inspections of the tenant site to identify and address vulnerabilities.
- Implement and enforce security protocols in accordance with intelligence community standards.
- Manage access control systems, visitor management, and badging operations.
- Threat Assessment & Response:
- Monitor and assess potential physical and cyber threats to the facility and personnel.
- Coordinate incident response plans and lead investigations into security breaches or suspicious activity.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain site-specific security plans (SSSPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare and submit security reports, audits, and incident logs to appropriate authorities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security clearance requirements and training.
- Facility Operations:
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of physical security measures, including barriers, surveillance systems, and alarm systems.
- Manage the integration of new security technologies and systems as needed.
Do you have what it takes?Required:
- Bachelor's degree in security or cybersecurity field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in security operations, physical security, or a related role within the intelligence or defense community.
- Proven experience managing access control systems and conducting site inspections.
- Strong knowledge of security regulations and standards
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficiency in security technologies and software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
