Qualifications

• Valid, active license as a Massage Therapist in Illinois (LMT).
• Certification in Lymphedema Therapy from a recognized institution (Preferred).
• Certified in Cupping Therapy (Required).
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a massage therapist with a focus on therapeutic massage techniques and/or chronic pain management.
• Demonstrated experience or proficiency in post-operative recovery and chronic pain relief.
• Proficiency in assessing clients' needs and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate within a professional team.
• Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
• Independent contractor status responsibilities including 1099 reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic massage sessions tailored to each client's needs, preferences, and medical history.
• Provide chronic pain relief through evidence-based therapeutic massage techniques.
• Administer lymphedema therapy and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) per prescribed plans.
• Assess medical histories and identify contraindications before sessions.
• Maintain accurate client records in the scheduling system.
• Adhere to HIPAA and other ethical/legal standards.
• Educate clients on self-care techniques to enhance outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and physical therapists to coordinate care.
• Ensure a clean, sanitary work environment and proper disinfection.
• Maintain scheduling flexibility to accommodate client needs.
