Job summary

Graceland Portable Buildings is seeking an Independent Contractor Driver to transport and set portable buildings. This contract (1099) role requires you to provide your own truck, equipment, and insurance, and you are not a Graceland employee, but a partner.

Responsibilities include delivering, setting, and anchoring buildings, communicating ETAs with dispatch, and maintaining your vehicle per safety standards including DOT/FMCSA compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and acceptable driving record.
• Own truck/trailer/equipment suitable for transporting and setting portable buildings.
• Maintain required commercial auto liability insurance per contract.
• Ability to meet Graceland safety requirements (background/drug screening as permitted).
• Willingness to work regionally/out of town as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport, deliver, set up, and anchor portable buildings at customer sites.
• Level and position buildings on-site with care and accuracy.
• Communicate ETAs, site access, and delivery status with dispatch/customers.
• Use smartphone/tablet to receive dispatch details and submit paperwork/photos.
• Maintain contractor-owned truck/trailer/equipment in safe condition.
• Follow DOT/FMCSA requirements and safe work practices.
• Provide professional, courteous service reflecting Graceland.
