Who you are:

As a Contract Specialist II, your primary responsibilities include developing provider networks through recruitment, negotiating complex contracts, and managing provider relationships. You will review network adequacy, identify recruitment needs, and negotiate within financial parameters to support JHHP’s strategic goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and maintain contractual relationships with behavioral health providers including psychiatrists, therapists, residential treatment facilities, and outpatient clinics.
  • Lead the implementation process to ensure contracts are loaded into the provider management system, and reporting is operational.
  • Manage the post-implementation process of complex contracts, including behavioral health providers.
  • Ensure contract compliance by managing pricing and reimbursement updates.
  • Serve as the Networks Management representative to address questions related to complex contracts.

What you’ll bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Contracting/Network Development in healthcare or insurance, with knowledge of reimbursement standards.
  • Strong negotiation skills, especially for high-dollar reimbursements, and familiarity with healthcare contracting terms.
  • Ability to negotiate provider fee schedules and performance guarantees.
  • Experience developing cost-efficient reimbursement standards.
  • Knowledge of managed care concepts, MHPAEA, HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and Medicaid requirements.
  • Analytical skills to assess claims, utilization trends, and market rates.
  • Data-driven approach to developing pricing proposals and evaluating financial impacts.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree in business management or healthcare administration preferred. Experience with APMs, value-based contracting, and behavioral health payments is highly preferred. Skills in network analysis and strategic expansion are a plus.

Salary Range: $28.47 - $47.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and role scope. Salary discussions will occur during candidate screening if ranges are not specified.
