Organization Summary:

Role Summary:

The Cigna Payer Solutions Contracting Manager leads the Contract Department, managing two direct reports: the contracting advisor and contracting lead analyst. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating client contracts, managing redlines, and serving as the primary team representative in collaborations with Business, Legal, Finance, and external clients. The role aims to improve contracting process quality and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and lead the contracting department and team members.
2. Oversee daily operations and workload planning.
3. Coordinate with internal partners and Legal Counsel on contracts and projects.
4. Understand client contracting arrangements, develop contractual language, and secure approvals.
5. Participate in contract strategy and negotiations, document meeting notes, and draft language.
6. Draft contract letters and notices.
7. Lead internal initiatives and support process improvements.
8. Maintain the contracting library and templates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 8+ years relevant experience, including 5+ years drafting contracts; paralegal experience preferred.
• Leadership and people management experience.
• Experience in health insurance, healthcare, or TPA preferred.
• Strong organizational, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with Salesforce.com and DocuSign is a plus.
