Job Type: Full time

Compensation: Budgeted between $80,000 and $105,000 based upon years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Train, develop, and mentor team members by assessing needs, addressing performance and behavior strength/weaknesses through timely use of coaching feedback, performance appraisals, and corrective action plans.
  • Accurately track team attendance, work schedules, payroll, quality assurance of work, and recording of productivity.
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring of new team members.
  • Prepare statistical reports (KPI) for areas of responsibility.
  • Create and maintain, review, and enforce standardized operating procedures with team members.
  • Ability to prepare, complete, review, and interpret performance reports.
  • Contributes to the creation of the departmental strategy in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Foster and maintain positive, effecitve communication with payer representatives and internal teams.
  • Anticipate and resolve issues related to payer enrollments, payer networks, reimbursement trends, and claims issues.
  • Serves as primary departmental contact for leadership and operational teams.
  • Increase customer satisfaction by understanding business needs and elevate client relationships from vendor/partner to trused business advisor.
  • Manage multiple tasks, analyze complex issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Travel:

  • Ability to travel as needed

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of experience in a leadership role working in a health care or managed care setting with a specific background in payer contract administration and payer enrollment.
  • Five years of experience in analyzing and presenting key performance indicators and departmental metrics to VP or Executive level leadership.
  • Three years of experience managing projects, including preparation and implementation of training and educational programs.
  • Five years of experience in payer enrollment & payer contracting experience in a healthcare setting to understand appropriate turnaround and processing timelines are being met.

Preferred:

  • Health Plan administration experience.
  • Legal contract experience.
