Contract Visual Designer: Social Content Creation - Part Time

Russell Tobin and Associates is seeking a Visual Designer for social content creation, working 5-10 hours a month. This is a fully remote role working for our global technology client on projects based at the end of each month.

Note: This is not a full-time role. Projects are worked on during the last 2 weeks of each month, with briefing by the 15th and handoff by the end of the month.

Job Title: Contract Visual Designer: Social Content Creation

Pay: $48.00/hr. to $51.00/hr. (Based on experience)

Schedule: 10-20 hours per month. Must be able to communicate via chat as needed between 9am-5pm PST while working on projects.

Location: Remote (open to candidates residing in the USA only)

Contract Duration: 11 months, possible extension

Responsibilities:

• Design, production, and creation of social and marketing projects including ad campaigns, social content, and marketing efforts.
• Ensure design requirements (specs, formats, file size) are met in adherence with project guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Online portfolio demonstrating experience creating branded designs for social, marketing, and editorial content.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in creating static graphics, animations, GIFs, and short-form videos tailored to platform-specific audiences.
• Expert knowledge of Figma; working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Ability to craft visually compelling designs that resonate with target demographics, leveraging trends in typography, color theory, and layout principles.
• Ability to self-manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environments with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of design standards for accessibility, usability, and image optimization.
• Experience using brand guidelines and templates for consistent on-brand work.
• Ability to generate multiple design concepts that are diverse yet on-brand.
• Creativity in leveraging illustration libraries and remixing visual elements for differentiation.
• Strong quality control and attention to design details including typography and copy.
• Experience creating new templates and contributing to visual design systems.
