Job summary

Obsidian Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Research Associate (Contractor) with a strong background in viral vector manufacturing to join the Cell Therapy Research Team. You will generate retroviral and lentiviral vectors, perform titration, and transduce T cells, supporting the lead program amsoki-cel (OBX-115).

This on-site role starts in Cambridge through Q2 2027 before relocating to Bedford, MA as the lab footprint expands into a single MA location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Virology, Immunology, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 1+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in biotech/pharma.
• Skilled in maintaining mammalian cell cultures.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Design experiments and perform bench work with data analysis.
• Maintain packaging cell banks for retrovirus production.
• Prepare small- and large-scale retrovirus-based vectors.
• Isolate, bank, and characterize primary tumor and immune cells.
• Present results at internal meetings.
• Track and replenish critical cell stocks.
