Job summary

Dutch is seeking Credentialed Veterinary Technicians to join our growing telehealth team for in-person vaccine events. This contract role focuses on delivering high-quality veterinary care from home, with vaccines, client education, and EMR documentation supported by digital workflows.

Ideal candidates have 2–3+ years in small animal practice, are proficient with vaccines, can work weekends, and thrive in a fast-paced remote environment while collaborating with doctors and staff.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) with 2–3+ years of small animal practice.
• Experience with vaccines and vaccine handling protocols.
• Comfortable working in a remote-first telehealth environment.
• Strong documentation and client education skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients via in-person communication and telehealth tools to educate and guide pet health.
• Administer canine and/or feline vaccines as appropriate.
• Accurately document medical records and updates.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and workflows.
• Participate in training and process-improvement initiatives for telehealth.
• Deliver empathetic, high-quality client care while following clinical protocols.
• Adapt to a fast-paced, remote-first setting and continuously improve skills.
• Schedule flexibly; weekend availability is emphasized.

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, RVT)
• 2–3+ years of clinical experience in small animal veterinary medicine; emergency or specialty experience is a plus
• Empathetic, organized, and adaptable to a fast-paced, remote-first environment
• Proper vaccine handling, storage, and reconstitution
• SC/IM administration techniques
• Proper vaccine/site selection
• Sharps safety and appropriate disposal
• Emergency response and basic CPR procedures
• Comfortable with safe restraint and handling of dogs and cats
• Able to recognize and appropriately respond to potential vaccine reactions and other medical concerns
• Strong understanding of veterinary medical records and documentation
• Ability to work under the supervision and protocols of a licensed veterinarian
• Previous vaccine clinic, wellness, general practice, shelter, or high-volume veterinary experience preferred
