Job summary

Dutch is seeking experienced veterinarians to join our growing telemedicine team as independent contractors for in-person vaccine events. The position offers flexible hours with a preference for weekend availability, typically 10–15 hours per week.

You will provide wellness and vaccination services for dogs and cats, document medical records, and collaborate with Vet Support to ensure high-quality client care at events nationwide.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school or eligible to practice in the United States.
• Active license in one or more states Dutch operates in.
• 3+ years post-graduate clinical experience.
• Ability to use telehealth tools and manage consultations independently.

Responsibilities

• Wellness care and vaccination for dogs and cats.
• Review vaccine history and administer vaccines per state rules.
• Perform pre-vaccination assessments and establish VCPR when needed.
• Interpret SNAP test results and advise on next steps.
• Maintain medical docs and rabies certificates.
• Educate clients on vaccines, parasites, and overall wellness.
• Collaborate with technicians and staff to ensure smooth clinics.
• Remain onsite for vaccine clinic duration.

We’re currently seeking experienced Veterinarians to join our growing telemedicine team as independent contractorsfor in‑person vaccine events. This is a flexible opportunity ideal for tech‑savvy, client‑focused vet techs who want to make a real impact in veterinary medicine.

What You’ll Do

• Wellness Care: Provide routine wellness and vaccination services for dogs and cats.
• Vaccine Administration: Review vaccine history, determine appropriate vaccine schedules, and administer or supervise vaccine administration as permitted by state regulations.
• Pre‑Vaccination Assessment: Perform brief physical exams, confirm vaccines are appropriate, and establish a VCPR when required.
• Diagnostic Testing: Review and interpret SNAP test results and provide appropriate recommendations when results are abnormal.
• Preventative Care: Recommend appropriate parasite prevention and other preventative care based on each pet’s needs.
• Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records and complete all required documentation, including rabies certificates.
• Adverse Reaction Management: Monitor for vaccine reactions and respond appropriately, including following the designated after‑hours emergency hospital/referral plan when needed.
• Client Education: Educate pet owners on vaccine recommendations, expected reactions, parasite prevention, and general wellness.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and positive client experience.
• Client Care: Provide empathetic, high‑quality care while following clinical protocols and adapting to each pet’s individual needs.
• Professional Growth: Continuously develop your clinical skills, with opportunities for responsibilities to expand over time.
• Onsite Commitment: Remain onsite for the duration of the scheduled vaccine clinic.

You’d Thrive in This Role If You Have:

• Graduated from an AVMA‑accredited veterinary school or completed requirements to practice in the United States

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A collaborative, compassionate approach to care
• Comfort using telehealth tools and managing consults independently
• This position primarily requires weekend availability
