Job description

Irwin is building a formal training function to support our current and future dealers’ success with product and sales trainings. We're seeking a contract Training Content Developer to lead the first phase of this effort, starting with dealer training for our legacy product line and the launch of new product segmentation tied to a major industry event. This is a highly visible, build-it-from-scratch opportunity for someone who thrives on structure, organization, and turning scattered knowledge into usable training.

What You'll Do

  • Collect and organize existing training content and subject-matter expert ("tribal") knowledge on legacy and bleacher products.
  • Curate raw material into clear, usable training content for dealer audiences, covering not just what the product is, but how to sell it, differentiate it, and position it.
  • Develop training ready to support new and existing dealer onboarding
  • Partner with internal subject-matter experts (SMEs) who will ultimately deliver the training, setting them up for success.
  • Bring project management discipline to a brand-new function, establishing simple, repeatable processes as you go.
  • Stay flexible and adaptable as priorities and content needs evolve in this first phase of the training discipline.

What We're Looking For

  • Background in training & development, with a clear strength in content creation over live training delivery.
  • High initiative and strong organizational skills; comfortable operating with significant autonomy.
  • Collaborative style; able to build relationships with SMEs and stakeholders across the business.
  • Technology expertise; open to trying new tools and approaches.
  • Project management skillset; able to bring order and sequencing to ambiguous, ground-up work.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10–20%, primarily to Altamont, IL.

Position Type: Contract

Duration: Minimum 4–6 months, with potential to extend or convert to a full-time hire

Hours: Flexible, ideally 30-40 hours per week.

Travel: 10–20%, primarily to Altamont, IL
