Job summary

Arbor Energy & Resources Corporation, also known as Arbor Energy, is seeking a Contract Technical Recruiter to scale our hardware engineering teams during a growth phase. You will own full-cycle recruitment for complex hardware roles, crafting targeted sourcing strategies and engaging passive candidates to drive offers and onboarding.

You will partner with hiring managers and the recruiting team to attract engineers building high-performance systems for emissions-free power.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Contract Technical Recruiter to help build and scale Arbor's engineering team during a critical growth phase.

In this role, you'll focus on full cycle recruiting for complex hardware engineering roles, designing and executing targeted sourcing strategies, engaging passive candidates, and managing the process through offer acceptance.

You’ll work closely with hiring managers and the recruiting team to identify and attract engineers building high-performance systems designed to deliver dependable, emissions-free electricity at scale.

This role is based out of our El Segundo, CA office.

Responsibilities

Search Strategyand Candidate Engagement

• Partner with the talent team and hiring managers to understand role requirements and hiring priorities, translating technical role requirements into effective sourcing and recruiting strategies.
• Build and execute targeted search strategies and talent pipelines for difficult-to-fill technical roles.
• Develop personalized, thoughtful outreach and conduct initial screening conversations with passive technical talent.
• Maintain strong candidate experience through all the stages of the recruiting process.

Talent Insights and Pipeline Optimization

• Track pipeline health andsourcing performance metrics, using data toidentifybottlenecks and continuously improve search outcomes.
• Use market insights and competitive talent mapping to refine sourcing strategies.
• Contribute to improving sourcing strategies and recruiting workflows.
• Provide market insights and talent intelligence to shape recruiting decisions.

Team Partnership and Collaboration

• Build trust with hiring managers and the broader team through consistency, responsiveness, and follow-through.
• Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders to maintain alignment and momentum across active searches.
• Work collaboratively with the People and Talent team, along with other cross-functional partners to support Arbor’s hiring goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical recruiting experience, with a track record of supporting searches in highly competitive talent markets.
• Must have e xperience sourcing and recruiting for deep-tech engineering talent from industries such as aerospace, advanced manufacturing, energy systems, or similar.
• Strong researchskillsand creativityin building candidate pipelines.
• Strongunderstandingof competitive talent markets and ability toidentifyrelevant target companies and talent pools.
• Highly organized, data-driven, and strong follow-through in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellentwritten and verbal communication, as well ascandidate engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentand remainadaptable to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to build diverse talent pipelines and connect with candidates from underrepresented backgrounds.
• Comfortable interfacing directly with hiring managers and company leaders.
• Experience supporting early-stage startups or R&D-focused organizations.

Compensation

Base Pay: Contract rate $70.00 - $85.00 USD/hour. The hourly rate is subject to the applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
