Job summary

WorkGenius Group in Chicago is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support month-end close, manage capital projects in SAP S/4HANA, and ensure rigorous internal controls. You will review project invoices, verify capitalization, and help maintain accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with 2–4 years of experience, advanced Excel skills, and a solid grasp of US GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 2–4 years of accounting experience.
• Experienced with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, capitalization policies, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review IT project invoices and contracts for costs and capitalization compliance.
• Create and maintain capital projects in SAP S/4HANA and track approvals.
• Manage construction-in-progress settlements and fixed asset activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review capex and ensure accurate reporting.
