Job summary

Soliant is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a contract role in the Bloomington, IL area. The position emphasizes creating inclusive, individualized instruction based on IEP goals and collaboration with multidisciplinary staff to support student growth.

Qualified candidates hold state certification for Special Education (or eligibility) and have experience with elementary students, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction.

Qualifications

• State certification as a Special Education Teacher (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in resource or self-contained settings
• Solid understanding of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and work well within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and create individualized lesson plans based on IEP goals
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service staff to foster inclusion and student growth
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust strategies as needed to support success
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for improvement
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines
• Support a positive, nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and builds confidence
