Job summary

Ring & DuChateau Consulting Engineers is seeking a contracts professional to manage the full lifecycle of contracts, from drafting and negotiation through renewal and closeout, across legal, procurement, finance, and operations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in contract administration, procurement, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management and commercial agreements.
  • Experience reviewing terms, SOWs, pricing schedules, and vendor agreements.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail when handling contract and financial information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with contract management systems or ERP is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies and compliance practices is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as CPCM/CFCM/CCCM preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and administer contracts, agreements, amendments, and related docs.
  • Coordinate the contract lifecycle from request through execution, renewal, and closeout.
  • Review terms, pricing, milestones, and performance requirements for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, finance, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Support contract negotiations with vendors, clients, and service providers.
  • Monitor obligations, renewal dates, deliverables, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, correspondence, and approvals.
  • Identify risks and compliance issues and escalate as needed.
  • Prepare summaries, reports, and management documentation.
  • Track performance, spending, changes, and commitments.
  • Assist with RFPs, bids, vendor and purchase agreements.
  • Coordinate approvals and obtain required signatures.
  • Support modifications, extensions, renewals, and terminations.
  • Communicate requirements to internal teams and external parties.
  • Ensure contracts comply with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract administration processes.
  • Provide support during audits and compliance reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and administer contracts, agreements, amendments, statements of work, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate the contract lifecycle from initial request and negotiation through execution, renewal, modification, and closeout.
  • Review contract terms, conditions, pricing, deliverables, milestones, and performance requirements for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, finance, and internal stakeholders to resolve contractual issues and requirements.
  • Support contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers, clients, and service providers.
  • Monitor contract obligations, renewal dates, deliverables, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized contract records, documentation, correspondence, and approval information.
  • Identify contractual risks, inconsistencies, and potential compliance issues and elevate them appropriately.
  • Prepare contract summaries, reports, status updates, and management documentation.
  • Track contract performance, spending, changes, and commitments against established requirements.
  • Assist with requests for proposals, bids, vendor agreements, purchase agreements, and other procurement-related contracts.
  • Coordinate contract approvals and ensure required signatures and documentation are obtained.
  • Support contract modifications, extensions, renewals, and termination activities.
  • Communicate contract requirements and obligations to relevant internal teams and external parties.
  • Ensure contracts are processed in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract administration processes, controls, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
  • Provide support during audits, compliance reviews, and contract-related inquiries.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in contract administration, contract management, procurement, purchasing, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management and commercial agreements.
  • Experience reviewing contractual terms, statements of work, pricing schedules, and vendor agreements.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy when handling contractual and financial information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience with contract management systems, procurement platforms, or ERP systems is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts, deadlines, stakeholders, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to interpret contractual requirements and communicate them clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and contract compliance practices is a plus.
  • Professional certification such as CPCM, CFCM, CCCM, or similar is preferred but not required.
Compensation & Contract Benefits

Annual Contract Rate: $75,000 – $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibility.

Schedule: Full-time contract, approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Contract Duration: Initial contract assignment with potential for extension or renewal based on business needs and performance.
