Direct experience reviewing contracts for architecture & engineering (A/E) or construction firms is required. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.
Anticipated workload of approximately 40 hours per week for a 4–5 month engagement.
Kittelson & Associates is a leading transportation engineering and planning consulting firm that helps improve how people move around. We are seeking an experienced Contract Specialist or Paralegal with Architecture & Engineering (A&E) or construction contract experience to provide temporary, on-call support during a staff leave.
This role plays an important part in maintaining continuity in contract review and risk management during a key transition period. While this is an hourly, on-call position, the workload is expected to be consistent and near full-time throughout the engagement.
The position will begin immediately to allow for a 4–6 week onboarding and training period prior to the primary staff member’s leave beginning mid-April. This role reports to the firm’s Risk Manager.
National traffic engineering and planning firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal or Contract Specialist (Legal Professional) to provide full-time temporary support during a staff leave period. The role requires direct hands‑on experience reviewing Architecture & Engineering (A&E) and/or construction industry contracts.
A&E and construction contracts involve industry‑specific risk allocation, professional liability considerations, statutory indemnification limitations, and insurance structures that differ from general commercial agreements. Candidates with prior A&E or construction contract experience will be best positioned to succeed in this role given the specialized nature of the work and the limited training window.
The goal is for this role to begin immediately to enable 4–6 weeks of training before the primary staff member begins leave around April 15. This temporary role will report to the firm’s Risk Manager.
At Kittelson, we value thoughtful work, collaboration, and professional trust. Our people are encouraged to ask questions, apply sound judgment, and contribute meaningfully to the firm’s success. Even in temporary roles, we prioritize clear communication, structured onboarding, and a supportive working environment. This position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in a practical, high‑impact way while working with a firm that values integrity, people, and purpose‑driven work.
This is a temporary, hourly, on‑call contract position and is not eligible for benefits. Hours may vary based on workload and business needs.
