Job summary

Job description

Global Land Partners, LLC is seeking a full-time, in-house Contract Specialist to join our team in Norman, Oklahoma. This role provides essential administrative and document support to the Right-of-Way Supervisor, Right-of-Way Agents, Title Agents, and other team members, as well as landowners, clients, and government agencies involved in right-of-way acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process right-of-way and oil & gas contracts, ensuring accuracy in land ownership, legal descriptions, payment terms, and signing parties.
  • Review title information and verify legal descriptions against contracts.
  • Analyze legal documents to confirm proper execution and notarization.
  • Maintain and track documentation and payment processing related to land acquisitions.
  • Examine right-of-way files to determine contract rights, including line rights, rentals, assignability, and construction terms.
  • Research landowner information and prepare pipeline line lists.
  • Enter legal documents into databases and ensure proper record-keeping.
  • Organize and maintain land files, electronic files, and permanent records with accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry in one or more of the following roles: Land Technician, Paralegal, Document Clerk, Lease Analyst, or Real Estate.
  • Strong understanding of land and right-of-way documents, deeds, ownership reports, and acquisition processes.
  • Familiarity with trusts, estates, and corporate documentation.
  • Knowledge of courthouse departments and document recording procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Earth, and Adobe.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role:

The Contract Specialist role is similar to that of a paralegal, requiring a background in right-of-way and land management with additional training in database and land management software systems. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in making decisions based on their expertise.
