Summary
As a Contract Specialist for the Corporate legal team, you will work alongside corporate attorneys and corporate paralegals and be part of a broader legal team. You will collaborate with the procurement team to provide contracting support to other corporate departments and operations teams.
Essential Job Functions
- Draft, review, edit, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with legal standards and organizational policies
- Escalate contract issues and non-standard terms where necessary in accordance with Sevita’s established processes and policies
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including outside counsel when necessary
- Manage lifecycle of contracts from initial request to full execution
- Monitor contract compliance throughout the lifecycle
- Assist with managing Sevita’s Contracts Management System
- Provide advice related to contract matters to operations and corporate departments, including members of senior leadership and the Executive team
- Identify contract process enhancements
- Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned
- Perform other related duties and activities as required
Supervisory Responsibilities
Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required for the Job
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least five (5) years of experience reviewing and negotiating contracts
- Experience working for an in‑house legal department strongly preferred
- Experience with SOWs, NDAs, MSAs, and other contracts strong preferred
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

- Must be able to handle company confidential information and data requiring the highest degree of attention to preserve confidentiality.

- Normal Office Work, Data Entry: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
