Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Contract Specialist to maintain pricing accuracy in the SCIS item file and to process supplier and SCIS reports to ensure contract payment terms are met. The role also coordinates with Accounts Payable and the Clinical Value Analysis team to resolve invoice issues.

Essential duties include maintaining pricing files, researching contract pricing with GPO tools, and communicating with suppliers to prevent discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in healthcare contracting and sourcing.
• Ability to liaison with Accounts Payable and CVA to resolve invoice issues.

Job description

The Contract Specialist performs various functions to maintain pricing accuracy in the Supply Chain Information System (SCIS) item file, process supplier and SCIS reports in a timely fashion in order to ensure contract payment terms are being met, and updates various matrices to report out the root causes of pricing inaccuracies. This role also liasons with Accounts Payable to maintain net 30 contract terms and seeks assistance from the Clinical Value Analysis (CVA) to work with the supplier community when an invoice issue cannot be resolved.

Essential Job Function:

• Maintains accurate pricing files, working with the supplier community to correct pricing errors.
• Researches contract pricing using various group purchasing organization (GPO) tools.
• Supports the Accounts Payable department as a liaison by communicating regularly in order to clear outstanding invoices.
• Assists the Receiving and Purchasing Department in order to receive open purchase of service (POS).
• Manages supplier future price change reports and works with the Clinical Value Analysis (CVA) and supplier to prevent price discrepancies.
• Reports out pricing issues regularly using matrices guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• Required: 3 years of experience in healthcare contracting and sourcing, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
