Job description

Build the future, spark innovation, and align your career with purpose.

McKinstry is innovating the waste and climate harm out of the built environment and creating lasting impact. Together, we're building a thriving planet.

Buildings are a leading contributor to the climate crisis, generating nearly 40% of total global energy-related carbon emissions. We're making a lasting impact on our industry and within our communities by addressing the climate, affordability, and equity crises through:

  • Renewables and energy services
  • Engineering and design
  • Construction and facility services
To get where we're going, we need big thinkers, problem solvers, and collaborative mindsets. Does that sound like you? The Opportunity with McKinstry

At McKinstry, we're passionate about creating a more sustainable world—and it all starts with our people. We are currently seeking a Contract Sourcing Partner to join our Talent Acquisition team. This contract role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by identifying and engaging top talent to support our growing business needs.

In this role, you will partner closely with our recruiters and hiring teams to proactively build and nurture talent pipelines across multiple business units. Your ability to identify hard-to-find talent and bring creative sourcing strategies to life will help us stay ahead in a competitive talent market.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key contributor to our recruiting success, you will:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract top talent using a variety of channels including networking, referrals, social media, job boards, talent communities, and industry events.
  • Conduct talent market research and build talent maps using advanced search techniques and tools like LinkedIn Talent Insights.
  • Generate and maintain passive candidate pipelines and nurture long-term relationships to build interest in future McKinstry opportunities.
  • Support recruitment marketing campaigns, job advertisement strategies, and targeted outreach efforts in partnership with recruiters and the Employer Brand team.
  • Continuously optimize our sourcing processes, bringing recommendations on how to leverage our ATS and CRM systems (Jobvite preferred) for greater efficiency.

What You Bring to the Team

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 4+ years of experience in talent acquisition, sourcing, lead generation, or a related field like sales or marketing.
  • Deep expertise using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms to attract, engage, and manage passive talent.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and CRM tools - Jobvite experience is a plus.
  • A strong understanding of labor market dynamics and talent pools, especially in emerging and niche markets.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to work across diverse teams and candidate populations.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen - you're able to connect sourcing strategies to larger business goals.
  • A self-starter mindset, with excellent project management and organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities and deliver results.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and love the challenge of finding and engaging exceptional talent— we'd love to connect.

If you're driven by our vision to build a thriving planet together, McKinstry is the place to build your career.
