Job summary

Service Robot Co. is seeking a hands-on field professional to install and maintain solar equipment at customer sites across California. You will work outdoors, travel to sites, and be paid per work order in a fast-paced field role.

The role emphasizes safety, physical work, and clear communication with customers, supervisors, and teammates. Training and certifications are provided through our Academy, with first job paid as you start.

Qualifications

• Experience in roofing, electrical work, construction, HVAC, or another practical trade.
• Basic electrical knowledge or willingness to learn through training.
• Strong safety focus and ability to identify equipment failure signs.
• Comfort with ladders, harnesses and working at height.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for field work.
• Reliable and able to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Install solar panels, mounting systems, and wiring according to site plans.
• Maintain and repair inverters, combiner boxes, trackers, and connectors.
• Inspect systems, take electrical readings, and use thermal scans to find faults.
• Clean panels and complete scheduled maintenance.
• Follow fall protection, electrical isolation, and test-before-touch procedures.
• Record each visit with photos, readings, and repair notes.
• Explain findings and follow-up work to the site owner.
• Keep tools, meters, and protective equipment ready for use.
