Job summary

Security 1 Solutions is seeking a Contract Security Officer Supervisor for a part-time role on 2nd/3rd shift, weekends, at a PFPA-related site in Silver Spring, MD. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, 21+, and have the appropriate DoD security-clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities include securing buildings, verifying visitors, protecting assets, maintaining logs, and handling firearms in accordance with SOPs. Health benefits and ongoing training available.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Secret or Top Secret clearance issued by DoD preferred or eligible.

Job Skills / Requirements

Part time position requires working a combination of two days, with a minimum of 16 hours per week, typically on the weekends.

The Contract Security Officer Supervisor position requires the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals, including members of the general public, Department of Defense personnel, and all ranks of military, civilians, and visitors.

• The duties and responsibilities are as followed, but not limited to:
• Security of building(s)
• Identification of all visitors and guests
• Protection of physical assets
• Anti-terrorism and force protection
• Maintaining logs via written or electronic
• Maintaining and carrying a firearm
• Adhere and uphold SOP Standards.

This position is under the direct supervision of the site Captain.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must Be 21 years of age
• Must be high school/GED graduate.
• Must posses a Secret or Top Secret clearance issued by the DOD

Must have one of the following :

• Three years security experience OR
• Three years of military service (active duty or reserve) with and honorable discharge OR
• An Associates Degree or at least 60 semester hours of college coursework in any field of study OR
• Successful completion of Police Officer's Standard Training (POST) course.
• Maryland Guard Card and Wear and Carry License Required!

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

• The applicant is required to submit to pre-employment medical exam and drug screening.
• The applicant must be able to pass an NCIC / State / Local Background check and Credit check.
• The applicant must be able to attend and complete all required training prior to assignment.
• The applicant must be able to successfully complete a Physical Agility Test.
• The applicant must be able to successfully complete a Firearms Qualification.
