Job summary

66degrees is seeking a Security Architect to design, implement, and govern security architectures for highly regulated environments. You will collaborate with engineering teams to align IAM, telemetry, and compliance frameworks with organizational goals.

This 48-week contract engages up to 20 hours per week and requires hands-on experience with IAM, SIEM, FedRAMP, CMMC, and cloud platforms such as AWS GovCloud.

Qualifications

• Professional experience as a Security Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Systems Architect.
• Runs the 800-171A exam, interview and test validation across all 320 objectives.
• Reviews the traceability matrix and packages the TOE evidence binder and hash manifests.
• CISA; CRISC; CMMC RP; eMASS artifact structuring and C3PAO audit mechanics.
• Hands-on proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, FedRAMP, CMMC, and AWS GovCloud.
• Experience with IAM, security telemetry, and SIEM tools/integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security architecture strategies for enterprise environments, focusing on cloud infrastructure and compliance.
• Lead IAM strategies, telemetry monitoring, and SIEM integrations to ensure end-to-end security visibility.
• Ensure infrastructure and security controls align with regulatory standards, specifically FedRAMP and CMMC.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering and systems teams to embed security best practices into core operational infrastructure.
• Review system architecture to identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risk, and maintain robust posture across cloud environments.
