Job summary

Cross Country Education seeks a local contract School Psychologist (Certified) for a 41-week assignment in Chicago, IL. The role focuses on psychoeducational assessments with no counseling duties, at 40 hours per week.

Travel to multiple school sites may be required, with a guaranteed 36.25-hour workweek and state reporting compliance. Qualified candidates hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology and a valid IL PEL with School Psychologist endorsement; bilingual Spanish is

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred for one opening.
• Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a school-based setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment services exclusively, with no counseling responsibilities.
• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, including cognitive, academic, adaptive behavior, and social-emotional assessments to support special education and planning.
• Complete assessment reports, interpret evaluation results, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to inform educational recommendations.
• Serve multiple assigned school sites while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with state and district requirements.
