Job summary

AHS Staffing is seeking a local contract School Occupational Therapist in Oswego, Illinois. This role supports students in school settings, assessing needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing therapies aligned with IEPs across two programs in the same building.

The candidate will hold a Master's in Occupational Therapy with an IL OT license and experience in pediatric or school-based therapy, including sensory considerations, and will collaborate with teachers and staff to

Qualifications

• Master's level or higher in Occupational Therapy.
• IL OT license.
• Experience in pediatric and/or school-based therapy.
• Preference for candidates with sensory knowledge.
• Ability to teach IEP/school-based knowledge is preferred.
• Supervising experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify needs and develop therapy plans.
• Deliver OT interventions in accordance with IEPs to support academic and developmental goals.
• Work with teachers, administrators, and specialists to create supportive learning environments.
• Contribute to IEP development by offering insights on motor and sensory needs.
