Job summary

Tech Electronics is seeking a Renewals Manager to lead strategy, process, and execution of recurring service agreements and contract renewals across the organization. You will partner with Sales, Service, Operations, Finance, and branch leadership to maximize retention and drive renewal revenue.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3–5 years of experience in renewals, account management, customer success, sales operations, service contracts, or a related role.
  • Experience managing recurring revenue, service agreements, maintenance contracts, or subscription-based relationships preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand pricing, contract terms, margins, and customer value.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret pipeline, revenue, retention, and customer data.
  • Experience with CRM and/or ERP systems; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively across Sales, Service, Operations, Finance, and leadership teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end renewal process for service agreements, maintenance contracts, inspections, monitoring, and other recurring customer agreements.
  • Develop and maintain a proactive renewal calendar and pipeline, ensuring agreements are addressed well in advance of expiration.
  • Establish renewal targets, track performance, and provide regular forecasting and reporting to leadership.
  • Coordinate renewal pricing, scope, terms, and documentation with Sales, Service, Operations, Finance, and branch teams.
  • Prepare and deliver renewal proposals, presentations, and supporting materials that clearly communicate customer value.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to improve retention, customer satisfaction, and renewal rates.
  • Identify at-risk accounts and develop action plans to address service concerns, pricing objections, competitive pressure, or other barriers to renewal.
  • Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships through additional services, technology upgrades, inspections, monitoring, or other Tech Electronics offerings.
  • Maintain accurate customer, contract, pricing, and renewal information within the company's CRM and business systems.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to resolve billing, contract, scope, and service issues that could impact renewal outcomes.
  • Analyze renewal trends, customer behavior, pricing, churn, and other performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Standardize and continuously improve renewal processes, templates, workflows, and internal communication.
  • Support branch teams with renewal best practices, training, reporting, and accountability.
  • Ensure renewal activities and customer commitments align with company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable industry standards.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Renewals Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, process, and execution of recurring service agreement and contract renewals across Tech Electronics. This role protects and grows recurring revenue by ensuring customers receive timely, accurate, and compelling renewal proposals while partnering closely with Sales, Service, Operations, Finance, and branch leadership. The Renewals Manager will own renewal forecasting, pipeline visibility, customer communication, pricing coordination, and process improvement to maximize retention and identify opportunities for account growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Experience in the low‑voltage, fire alarm, security, access control, video surveillance, communications, AV, or building technology industries.
  • Knowledge of service agreements, preventive maintenance, inspections, monitoring, or recurring service models.
  • Experience building renewal reporting, dashboards, processes, or playbooks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Occasionally exerts up to 10 pounds of force, and frequently a negligible amount of force, to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Travels regularly to customer sites, which may include walking through construction, healthcare, and industrial environments.
