Job summary

InterHealth Staffing, the staffing division of Tampa General Hospital, seeks a Contract Registered Nurse Scrub for the CVOR in Brooksville, FL. This full-time contract role focuses on perioperative nursing across preop, intraop and postop phases with emphasis on the nursing process and patient assessment.

The position requires a Florida RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and one year of experience. The assignment offers potential to convert to permanent employment within a world-class care

Qualifications

Graduation from a school of nursing with a current Florida license.
One year of experience required.
BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

Perioperative RN responsibilities include preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative period of the patient’s surgical experience.
Delivery of nursing care through the framework of the nursing process.
Engages in patient assessment, collects, organizes and prioritizes patient data.
Must function dependently, independently and interdepartmentally with the perioperative team members.
Collaborates with other healthcare professionals making appropriate nursing referrals and delegates and supervises nursing care in the perioperative setting.
Assess patient and/or family needs; formulates, implements and evaluates nursing diagnosis/problem list; upholds hospital wide nursing standards; maintains self development and attainment of educational requirements; exhibits positive human relations and complies with unit and hospital standards for dress code, attendance and HR issues.
