Job summary

InterHealth Staffing, the staffing division of Tampa General Hospital, seeks a Contract Registered Nurse Scrub for the CVOR in Brooksville, FL. This full-time contract role focuses on perioperative nursing across preop, intraop and postop phases with emphasis on the nursing process and patient assessment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing with a current Florida license.
• One year of experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Perioperative RN responsibilities include preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative period of the patient’s surgical experience.
• Delivery of nursing care through the framework of the nursing process.
• Engages in patient assessment, collects, organizes and prioritizes patient data.
• Must function dependently, independently and interdepartmentally with the perioperative team members.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals making appropriate nursing referrals and delegates and supervises nursing care in the perioperative setting.
• Assess patient and/or family needs; formulates, implements and evaluates nursing diagnosis/problem list; upholds hospital wide nursing standards; maintains self development and attainment of educational requirements; exhibits positive human relations and complies with unit and hospital standards for dress code, attendance and HR issues.
