A TekStream Client, a large retail company headquartered in Atlanta, GA, has an immediate need for a Contract Recruiter with specific experience sourcing and hiring talent to Supply Chain and logistics focused positions. This is a remote position, but candidates must reside in the EST or CST regions of the US. Special attention and consideration will be given to candidates located in Atlanta, GA and who can work on a somewhat hybrid basis.
Job Summary:
A Contract Recruiter (Supply Chain) is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process specifically for roles within the supply chain and logistics sector. This often involves filling specific positions on a temporary basis or handling periods of high hiring needs. They will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and securing top talent with the necessary skills and experience in supply chain management, logistics, operations, and procurement. The recruiter will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies tailored to the unique demands of the logistics and supply chain industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Recruitment Strategies: Design and implement effective recruitment strategies specifically for roles in the logistics and supply chain sector to attract high-quality candidates and meet hiring goals.
- Source and Identify Candidates: Utilize various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and resume databases, to source and identify potential candidates with relevant experience in logistics and supply chain.
- Screen and Interview Candidates: Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates, conduct initial phone or video interviews to assess their skills, experience, and cultural fit, and coordinate subsequent interviews with hiring managers.
- Manage the Recruitment Process: Oversee and manage the entire recruitment process, from candidate sourcing to offer negotiation and onboarding, ensuring a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Collaborate with Hiring Managers: Work closely with hiring managers to gain a deep understanding of specific position requirements, team dynamics, and desired candidate profiles.
- Build and Maintain Talent Pipelines: Proactively build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs within the logistics and supply chain sectors.
- Negotiate Offers: Prepare and present job offers to selected candidates, negotiating terms such as salary and benefits as needed.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
- Utilize Recruitment Metrics: Track and analyze recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill and sources of hire, to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay Informed about Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in supply chain recruitment to continuously refine strategies.
- Attend Industry Events: Attend job fairs, networking events, and industry conferences to build relationships and promote the company as an employer of choice in the logistics and supply chain field.
Qualifications:
A successful Contract Supply Chain and Logistics Recruiter should possess the following qualifications:
- Experience: Previous recruiting experience, particularly in logistics, transportation, or supply chain roles, is preferred.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of supply chain roles, their requirements, and industry-specific terminology is important.
- Sourcing and Interviewing Skills: Proficiency in sourcing techniques across various platforms and strong interviewing skills to evaluate candidates effectively are necessary.
- Communication and Relationship Building: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers are crucial.
- Organizational and Technical Skills: Strong organizational skills, time management, attention to detail, and proficiency with ATS and Microsoft Office Suite are expected.
- Legal and Problem-Solving Skills: Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, along with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, are beneficial.
- Professionalism: Maintaining a high level of professionalism and handling confidential information are essential.
