Position: 1099 Contractor - Instructor
Location: On Call (Remote/Various Locations)
Hours: 16-24 hours per week
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (No benefits)

Job Summary:
RailPros is seeking experienced Contract Instructors to join our respected, industry-leading instructional team. If you have a background in railroad TE&Y or MOW and are passionate about sharing your knowledge with the next generation of railroaders, contractors, and rail-served industry workers, we’d love to connect. We are especially interested in contractors with expertise in areas such as roadway worker protection, general rail safety, continuously welded rail, hi-rail, roadway maintenance machinery, maintenance of way, locomotive engineering, signal maintenance, and track inspection. We welcome additional topic areas as well.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate engaging, course-leading learning experiences using RailPros course materials with railroaders, railroad contractors, and rail-served industry workers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations.
  • Collaborate openly with the RailPros training delivery and operations team.
  • Work closely with the instructional design team on course enhancements.
  • Accurately enter training information (attendance, test results) in a timely manner.
  • Utilize training technology resources effectively.
  • Maintain high-quality training standards by collaborating with all team members.
  • Demonstrate integrity throughout all phases of the training process.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Expert-level experience in railroad TE&Y and/or MOW.
  • Proven ability to train and teach effectively.
  • Flexible availability for on-call work and multi-day travel.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
