Job summary

STR Behavioral Health is opening a new PHP/IOP location in Exton, PA. This contractor physician role entails ensuring client health and safety, evaluating psychiatric conditions, and prescribing appropriate medications within a treatment-focused team.

Required are a graduate degree in psychiatry, PA license in PA, and a minimum of 3 years residency. Candidates should be able to respond to after-hours calls and participate in the clinical treatment process.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 3 years of residency in psychiatry.
• Active valid licensed practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Conduct routine psychiatric evaluations and prescribe medications as necessary.
• Consult with treatment team on primary diagnosis and co-occurring issues.
• Pre-screen clients by reviewing psych and medical records for admission.
• Oversee and collaborate with Clinicians on treatment plans.
• Participate in Clinical Treatment team meetings 2x a month.
