Job summary

Safety Worxs is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator for a 4-month project in downtown Austin, TX. The PSC leads safety activities from kickoff through substantial completion, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and project safety standards.

Responsibilities include hazard identification, training, incident investigations, and maintaining safety records. OSHA 500/502 is required; OT available; up to $55/hr DOE and $200K+ total compensation potential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of building construction safety experience
• 5+ years in construction safety process management or a 4-year safety degree with 3+ years field safety experience
• OSHA 500 (Construction Industry Trainer) OR OSHA 502 (Trainer Update) required
• Current certifications within 2 years: Emergency First Aid, CPR, AED

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all construction safety activities from project commencement through substantial completion
• Implement and manage safety processes including hazard identification, mitigation, and field inspections
• Conduct incident investigations and prepare preventive recommendations
• Provide documented continuing education and practical training on Fall Protection, Scaffolds, Excavation & Trenching, Confined Space, Crane/Equipment Operations, Electrical Safety
• Maintain safety records, compliance documentation, and training evidence
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements
