Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO)

This role requires the ability to work independently and establish and maintain relationships with supervisors, colleagues, customers, and other government agencies as needed. Responsibilities include document control, personnel security actions, and ensuring secure operations of all materials/media.

Responsibilities

  1. Obtain information for Program Access Requests (PARs), review packages for accuracy, and proper routing.
  2. Process visitor requests, prepare, transmit, and maintain visit certification letters.
  3. Perform document control functions, including development, oversight of receipt and dispatch, organizing documents, managing databases, and assisting in locating documents.
  4. Serve as the Top-Secret Control Officer, executing accountability programs and submitting annual inventory reports.
  5. Maintain all security documents per government requirements, providing weekly updates.
  6. Manage Program Indoctrination and Debriefings.
  7. Initiate, process, and maintain security clearances through DISS, Scattered Castles, and other systems.
  8. Manage the Media Control plan, including maintaining and submitting inventory reports.
  9. Oversee functions assigned to the Security Specialist.
  10. Maintain access control rosters and establish a visitor control program, providing guidance to the Access Control Security Specialist.
  11. Create and implement the facility Security Education program.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma; Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) preferred; if not certified, must complete within 18 months.
  • 2-4 years experience as a Contractor Program Security Officer or related knowledge of functions.
  • Experience with document control, security manuals, directives, and Executive Orders (e.g., NISPOM, ICD, DOD Manuals).
  • Working knowledge of DISS, Scattered Castles, and Automated Data Control Systems.
  • Basic IT skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, excellent communication, and meticulous attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: USD $85,000 - $115,000, based on skills, experience, and location.
