Job summary

Accentuate Staffing is assisting a client in the Durham area by recruiting for a Production Planner (Contract). The role focuses on developing and maintaining production schedules, coordinating with multiple departments and ensuring on-time delivery. Strong Excel skills and data analysis are essential.

The contract position is expected to run through approximately March, with a day shift Monday through Friday in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in production planning or scheduling or data analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills for large data sets and reporting.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
• Comfortable communicating across departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules using Excel.
• Review production data, inventory levels, and upcoming requirements to plan.
• Monitor schedules and adjust priorities as needed.
• Track production metrics and prepare management reports.
• Coordinate with production, operations, engineering, inventory, and supply chain teams to stay aligned.
• Assist with on-time delivery through scheduling and planning.”
• Maintain planning records, spreadsheets, and documentation.
• Organize and analyze data to identify scheduling issues or constraints.
• Participate in production meetings and share updates with teams.
• Help improve planning tools, reports, and processes.
• Take on additional administrative tasks as needed.
