Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Primary Care Physician to deliver comprehensive health care within the licensed scope. The role involves routine exams, diagnostic testing, assessments and screenings, prescribing treatments, and educating patients and families on health conditions and treatment options in Illinois.

Candidates must hold an MD or DO and be licensed in the state. Board certification in Family or Internal Medicine is preferred unless the contract dictates otherwise.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical school with MD or DO.
• Licensed to practice primary care in the state of practice.
• Board certification in Family or Internal Medicine preferred unless contract requires.
• Specialty certification as per client/state regulations if applicable.
• One year of experience as a Primary Care Physician preferred.
• Role may require collaboration with advanced practitioners per state/facility requirements.
• Current CPR certification if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice under licensure and scope.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive health care services within license scope.
• Perform routine examinations, diagnostic testing, assessments and screenings.
• Prescribe treatments and educate patients and families on conditions and options.
• Instruct patients on general health maintenance and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other providers as required by state/facility.
