Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in New York. Schedule includes M-TH 9:30a-6:30p, Friday 9a-5:30p, and alternating Saturdays 7a-12:30p, with an initial duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, processing, and ensuring proper transport and documentation, while adhering to OSHA/DEP regulations and department trainings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles; verify physician orders.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Pack specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature control.
