Job summary

KingRecruitingServices seeks a Phlebotomist in Spartanburg, SC for a contract role with a potential to become permanent. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with an anticipated duration of 3 months and possible extension.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and proper handling of specimens while adhering to OSHA/DEP guidelines. A valid phlebotomy certification and basic Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens.
• Recording maintenance data and decontamination; updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures; explains venipuncture process clearly.
• Package specimens for transport and store at required temperatures; ensure specimen integrity.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
